Exciting news! Honored to be selected for a film festival that shines a spotlight on some of the most critical social justice issues. @IFAFF IN PERSON EVENT! Join us on Tuesday 5/2 at 5:30 pm, for a screening of Voices of Reentry followed by a panel discussion with George Halfkenny, David Baxter, and film director (and Brandeis alum) Nomi Sofer. The last week of Second Chance Month is dedicated to reentry. Here, Voices of Reentry storyteller George Halfkenny describes how having supportive, caring people around you is essential for successful reentry. At Voices of Reentry event last month, @thrivecommunitiesma member Mark Summers spoke about the importance of second chances. April is Second Chance Month! Host a screening of Voices of Reentry to start a conversation at your school, workplace, or community group about second chances and how we can work together to create communities in which everyone has what they need to thrive. Virtual events are amazing, but there's nothing quite like watching a film in person, in community. If you're local to the #cambridgema area, please join us this Sunday at 4pm at St. James Episcopal Church for a FREE screening of Voices of Reentry followed by a community conversation with storyteller George Halfkenny and @thrivecommunitiesma Kim Yeasir. Join us IN PERSON on Sunday, 3/19 at 4pm for a screening of Voices of Reentry followed by a community conversation with storytellers from the film. Hosted by St. James Episcopal Church, Cambridge, MA. The host requires masks indoors. TOMORROW! Join us on March 1 at 7pm ET for a screening of the award-winning documentary followed by a Q&A with the director and storytellers featured in the film.
